In 1973 the Roman Catholic Church of St. Gerard Majella was built. Since then, membership has increased so much that they are now raising money to build a new church. The current church serves not only as a center of worship, but also as a food pantry and a soup With the construction of a new building, members will spend less time setting up the church center for events, when it's not being used for mass, and more time doing their good works.
The church is very giving to the community. For more than 30 years it has been feeding the homeless and poor. Volunteer groups within the parrish form tight connections as they work, bringing them together not only in good will and charity, but also creating lasting friendships.
The church office is open daily and Sunday masses are at 7:30am, 9am and 11am. Weekday mass begins at 9am while Saturday mass is held at 5 pm. The church has many other programs and offerings for parishioners including choir, Bible School, Teen Groups and a large thrift shop that is run by volunteers, is stocked with donations and raises money for the poor.
