The Waldorf School of Garden City
Waldorf School of Garden City, established in 1947, is located in Garden City, N.Y. The school offers grades from nursery through 12 and serves to more than 350 students. Its broad range of curriculum includes German, French, Latin, mathematics, thematic studies, and science, including zoology, biology, nutrition, botany, astronomy, chemistry and physics. It also offers history and social studies, physical education, and calligraphy, woodworking, social dancing and paper work. The school has a well-equipped library with a wide variety of books, and reference materials. It also has a parent-teacher association that assists in various school activities. The school s athletic activities include softball, golf, football, and track and field. It also provides health care, food and transportation services. Waldorf School is a nonprofit organization and affiliated with the New York State Association of Independent Schools, and Association of Waldorf Schools of North America.
