Established in 1886, YWCA of Elmira and the Twin Tiers is a charitable institution, providing equal rights to the people of the United States. Based in Elmira, N.Y., it eliminates racism and promotes women rights. The institution offers an array of programs and services for women, including breast health outreach and education, clothes closet as well as pink boutique which supports women after breast cancer surgery. Additionally, it provides programs for children, including kids world and supervised visitation and safe exchange (SVSE). YWCA of Elmira and the Twin Tiers offers racial justice and women's economic advancement. It is a part of the larger organization, such as The World YWCA, the YWCA of the USA and the Northeast regional YWCA Council.
