Southold Town residents use this facility to drop off household garbage in yellow garbage bags sold by the town and to recycle glass, paper and aluminum products. The town does not provide curbside pickup of garbage or recyclables. There is a fee to drop off commercial waste at the transfer center. Compost and mulch is also available at the facility for the public to use, and a re-use center provides residents a place to give away usable items instead of throwing them away.
