History
SOCAPA was founded by a small collective of New York artists in Greenwich Village in 2001, and has quickly become one of the premier visual and performing arts programs for young people in the world. Our students travel from across the United States and all corners of the globe to participate in our Summer Intensives.
Specialties
The School of Creative and Performing Arts (SOCAPA) is one of the premier visual and performing arts summer camps for teens ages 13 to 19 in the world. Beginning, intermediate, and advanced young filmmakers attend 1 to 6-week programs that bring together teens from across the country and around the world as they write, direct, and edit their own original films and enjoy the best of summer fun.
