Prep for Prep, located in New York City, provides educational preparatory programs and support services for youngsters from minority group. The Prep Community includes more than 3,000 students and alumni, and addresses the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of boys and girls. It operates various day, boarding and independent schools. The community provides financial assistance to students from low-income groups for continuing their education. It also serves the needs of the independent schools and operates various programs, such as the Talent Search. Its Talent Search program helps in the selection process of students from New York City public elementary and junior high schools to its day and boarding schools. Additionally, it organizes summer sessions and after school programs for placement to independent schools. It also offers counseling services to students, and organizes various extracurricular activities, such as excursions, recreational events, and cultural and sports events.
