History
Shawn Storey founded Shawn Storey PLLC shortly after being licensed in 1998. Due to his experience as an adult probation officer starting in 1991 and later as an intern at the Dallas County Public Defender's Office in 1997 and 1998, Shawn was able to begin representing clients in criminal defense matters right away. Parole cases were quickly added to his caseload as he had also spent time as a classification caseworker with the Texas prison system. Soon thereafter, it became evident that there was a high demand from his clients for representation for family matters, so in 1999 this practice area was also added. In 2019, after over 20 years of participation in mediations and experience as a case manager for the American Arbitration Association during law school, Shawn chose to seek mediation training from the New York State Unified Court System and start accepting mediation cases in both Texas and New York.
