Founded in 1952, Senior Services of Albany provides social, recreational, educational and health activities to older adults who are physically, emotionally and mentally disabled. The center offers various services, such as adult day care, nutrition and transportation services. It also provides respite and support services for caregivers. The center offers homebound meal services to senior citizens seven days a week. Its transportation services include doctor's offices, clinics and medically related appointments within the city of Albany, N.Y. Its wellness education program is designed to assist women with heart disease and also provides instructional classes in physical activity, nutrition and stress management. Additionally, it offers volunteer services to residents and is located in Albany, N.Y.
