The Seafield Center is a 90-plus-bed, nonprofit health care center that offers a range of treatment services. Founded in 1985 by George W. Benedict, the center serves individuals who suffer from alcohol addiction and substance abuse problems. It provides a variety of inpatient, outpatient and family programs. The center also provides treatment options for patients who suffer from chemical dependency issues. The Seafield Center is licensed by the New York State Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services and is accredited by The Joint Commission. The center manages a staff of psychiatrists, addiction medicine specialists, physicians, registered nurses, certified social workers, and credentialed alcoholism and substance abuse counselors.
