Founded in 1984, Saratoga Bridges is a nonprofit organization that serves people with disabilities and their families. The organization s residential program maintains more than 15 community-based homes for over 100 individuals. The program offers 24-hour supervision solutions, as well as instructions in daily living and extensive decision making skills. It also provides medical, nursing, nutrition, social work, and speech and hearing services. Saratoga Bridges day habilitation programs help disabled people to develop skills in the areas of communication, social behavior, personal care, housekeeping and money management. The organization additionally organizes fine arts, music, woodworking, acting, drama and gardening classes. It provides career options for individuals suffering with mental illnesses, physical and developmental disabilities, and visual and hearing impairments. Saratoga Bridges transportation department owns more than 60 vehicles. The organization operates the Saratoga Bridges Foundation and the Saratoga Bridges Service Coordination Department.
