Rye's Traffic Violations Bureau formerly collected parking fines for the city, but has now refined and outsourced its ticket collection process.
Those who get a traffic violation now can pay their parking ticket by putting it in the drop box at the parking lot entrance of City Hall. Parking violators can put their ticket and payment (cash or check) in an envelope located above the drop box and deposit the envelope in the locked drop box, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
People also can pay their parking ticket using a credit card online at www.parkingticketpayment.com/rye or by using their credit card to pay over the phone by calling 1-866-583-2815. You can also mail your ticket and the payment to the City of Rye Processing Center using an envelope provided above the drop box (PO Box 2075, Tarrytown, NY 10591-9075).
The Traffic Violations Bureau does not handle disputes or challenges to parking tickets. Parking ticket disputes are heard by the judges at Rye City Court, 21 McCullough Place, Rye, NY 10580 on Thursday and Friday mornings, beginning at 9 a.m., on a first come, first served basis. You must dispute your ticket before the return date indicated on the front of the ticket. You can also fill out a plea form using the envelopes provided on the top of the drop box. Plea forms will be forwarded to the court and you will receive a decision in writing.
Anyone with questions about his or her parking ticket can call 1-855-325-9100 for information or questions.
All of the above information also is printed on the back of each ticket.
