In 1979, Jack Rosenblum founded Rosenblum Development Corporation and became the first to develop office properties on Washington Avenue Extension in the City of Albany. During the 1980s, the company completed eight buildings within the Corporate Plaza location, and two additional buildings across Washington Avenue Extension. Corporate Plaza is still managed and operated by Rosenblum Development and its affiliates, offering over 150, 000 square feet of space. The company later acquired and, beginning in 1990, developed what is still the premier suburban office park in the Albany area, is situated in the Town of Guilderland at the nexus of the area's major transportation routes. The three buildings of Great Oaks Office Park encompass over 200, 000 square feet of office space. Today, Rosenblum Development Corporation is recognized as one of the premier landlords in the region. We devote ourselves tirelessly to our properties, not only maintaining but continually rejuvenating our assets. In 2010, the principals of Rosenblum Development Corporation embarked on another first: 17 Chapel Boutique Condominiums. It is the first condominium building in Downtown Albany and one of the only luxury multifamily properties in the Albany area. The project involves redevelopment and vertical addition to a structure built as a car dealership in 1928. Slated for occupancy in 2011, the building includes 24 customizable luxury residences ranging from 1, 190 to 2, 165 square feet. In addition to its location in a vibrant and walkable neighborhood, amenities include secure garage parking, rooftop sky deck with outdoor kitchen and fire pit, and on-site fitness center.
