The mission of the Rockland County Veterans Service Agency is to improve conditions for Rockland County veterans, military personnel, and their families.
The agency's primary goal is to provide prompt, courteous, and effective assistance to all county veterans, service members and their families.
Further, to act as a liaison for veterans to other county, state and federal agencies, as well as increasing public awareness of the conditions and situations unique to veterans and their families.

Donnellan is a longtime Rocklander who served in the Vietnam War. He has been honored by many local organizations for his work with local veterans and efforts to improve services for them.
