Rochester Midland Corporation manufactures and distributes specialty chemicals behind seven product divisions. They include food safety, industrial technologies, intuitional cleaning, Primasan, Printex, Sanor and water energy. The company has a 70,000-square-foot facility in Aurora, Ill., which serves as the manufacturing and distribution center for the Midwest, Southern and Western United States. The company s corporate headquarters is located in Rochester, N.Y. Rochester Midland began in 1888, when two men, Daniel Calkins and Clarence Crowell, purchased the Rochester, N.Y. Agency of the Aromatic Disinfecting Company of Philadelphia, a company that supplied equipment and 'disinfecting' fluid for restrooms. Under a new company name of Rochester Germicide Company, improvements in the system were made and expansion into manufacturing other products began.
