The Brooklyn Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends, also known as Quakers, is a community of individuals who gather in silence to seek the inner Light and divine guidance. With no formal prayers, hymns, or religious symbols, they believe in the power of the holy spirit to speak through them, bringing profound joy and connecting them to the eternal.
Committed to inclusive justice and dismantling systemic racism, the members of Brooklyn Meeting are dedicated to building racial justice through individual actions, study groups, standing committees, and alliances with others beyond the Meeting. They hold in-person meetings on Sundays at 11am, as well as a technology-free meeting at 9am, and offer online sessions for worship throughout the week.
