The Puerto Rican Family Institute is a nonprofit, health and human service agency that was established in 1960. It offers a wide range of health care programs and social services to families and children. It provides various services, such as mental health treatment, crisis intervention, residential care, and offers a wide range of educational programs. The agency operates various programs, such as mental health clinic program, foster care placement, partial hospitalization, school based and head start programs. The Puerto Rican Family Institute has been providing services to the mentally retarded and developmentally disabled population for more than 25 years through intermediate care facilities.
