Founded in 1980, PSCH is a nonprofit agency that offers residential services for individuals who suffer with mental retardation and developmental, cognitive and physical disabilities. It focuses on the development and operation of community-based residential facilities for individuals in the state of New York. The agency provides treatment for individuals with mental illnesses and diagnosed with co-occurring substance abuse disorders. PSCH also offers residential services in New Jersey for individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities and serves more than 2,000 individuals in Nassau and Suffolk counties in New York. It provides a range of support services to assist patients to develop and reinforce life skills. Additionally, the agency maintains a wholly owned subsidiary, Glendale Pharmacy, which works to meet the pharmaceutical needs of its consumers.
