PS 98 Elementary School, also known as the Douglaston School of Literature, is located along scenic 235th Street in Douglaston. It is one block from the community's Long Island Rail Road station.
The brick schoolhouse is frequently cited among the city's highest-ranking for test scores. Sheila Huggins is the school's principal.
The school offers a variety of extracurricular activities and clubs for its students, including Dancing Classrooms, a citywide dance competition that PS 98 won in 2006.
PS 98's student body includes pre-kindergarten through fifth grade.
