History
PromoSuite was founded by CEO Rocco Macri and CTO Chris Bungo who met while working together at Syracuse University's student-owned and operated radio station Z89 (WJPZ-FM). Macri pursued a career in radio and was named Director of Marketing at Emmis Communication's HOT 97 (WQHT-FM) at the age of 24. Bungo temporarily put aside his love for radio to pursue a career in the growing world of technology. In 1990, these two career paths crossed when the two friends got together and realized that Music Directors had their choice of music scheduling systems, Traffic Directors had their choice of commercial scheduling systems yet Promotion Directors were still stuck with pen and paper. Based on that simple discovery, PromoSuite was born!
