Ulster-Greene ARC, based in Kingston, N.Y., is a nonprofit agency that provides community-based services in Ulster and Greene counties for people with developmental disabilities. Established in 1956, its services cover people with mental disabilities, epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, autism, Down s Syndrome and cerebral palsy. It offers early intervention services beginning at birth, preschool and school services, day services, family support services, transportation and residential services, such as community residences, independent living and intermediate care facilities. It provides clinical services, vocational training and employment, service coordination, adaptive and assistive technology services, transitional services for students in special education, and guardianship and advocacy.
