The Pied Piper is a top-rated pre-school school for children ages one to five. The school co-directors are Marsha McCoy and Kathy Dineen. The curriculum is divided into beginner, intermediate and pre-K children's groups. As noted on the school website, Pied Piper emphasizes a caring environment and "covers all traditional nursery school curricula through the teaching of music, art, dance and theatre."
Afternoon and evening piano instruction is taught by co-director Dineen. During the summer months, children may attend the school's summer camp. The program is designed around weekly themes, such as "imagination" and "mother nature."
The Pied Piper provides an outdoor fenced-in playground and an indoor playground. First-aid and BLS-certified staff are on school premises at all times.
The preschool's beginner group was awarded the distinguished Exceptional School of Distinction Award by The Child Care Council of Westchester.
