History
Ollie's Place is the cat adoption counterpart to the animal rescue group Mighty Mutts, founded in 1994. Both Ollie's Place and Mighty Mutts are all-volunteer, no-kill animal rescue organizations that share a common goal of saving and finding forever homes for abused and abandoned animals throughout NYC and beyond. For many lower Manhattan residents, Mighty Mutts is most well-known for its presence at the Southwest corner of Union Square, where on most every Saturday afternoon a dozen or so dedicated volunteers, accompanied by rescued dogs, promote adoption, procure donations and raise awareness among passersby.
