Welcome to our web site. Ogden Presbyterian Church welcomes worshippers, both members and visitors, at 10 am every Sunday morning. We are a congregation of over 225 members. Our church school, pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, gathers into church school classes following our pastor's children's sermon. Our adults have weekday and evening classes for Bible study and interest groups, We also have a Sunday evening ecumenical contemporary service on the third Sunday of the month, preceded by a pot luck dinner. The sacrament of Communion is observed the first Sunday of each month. Our fellowship events include pancake breakfasts on the third Saturday of each month, from 8-11 am. We enjoy chicken barbecues, dinner and music, chancel musical dramas, a Harvest Festival in October, candlelight services on Christmas eve, Lenten forums and special worship, Easter sunrise service and mission trips. We are Presbyterian Christians. Our worship first began in Ogden in 1811. The sanctuary in which we worship today was built in 1823. Our most recent renovations included new paint, carpet, and pews and a safety railing for the balcony. In 1999, we built additional office space, classrooms, and a meeting room. Next year, 2011, we will celebrate the 200th anniversary of our congregation. We believe in the sovereignty of God, the lordship of Jesus Christ, and the renewing movement of the Holy Spirit in the world. We join with other church families in mission in Spencerport and in the greater Rochester area. We care about each other, and we care about the world in which we live, raise our children, and enjoy one another. Our members, as well as our pastor, warmly welcome all who visit and worship Ogden Presbyterian Church.
