Northport Nursery School has been serving the community as a cooperative preschool since 1941, offering classes for children ages two through kindergarten. Families are required to give a reasonable share of time by participating in the classroom approximately once a month, serving on a school committee and helping to maintain the facilities. Non-participating status is also available. A non-profit, non-sectarian organization, it is registered with and follows guidelines established by the New York State Education Department.
