Hudson Correctional Facility is governed by the New York State Department of Correctional Services. The facility is medium security prison that houses male inmates. The New York State Department of Correctional Services is responsible for the confinement and habilitation of more than 55,000 inmates at over 65 state correctional facilities. The department administers a range of programs and services, including substance abuse treatment, anger management, domestic violence counseling, health education, sex offender treatment, and educational and vocational training to inmates. Its Office of Victim Services provides information to victims regarding the policies and procedures of the department. The New York State Department of Correctional Services also offers library, guidance and transitional solutions to inmates.
