Napper Tandy's bills itself as the "Irish pub that parties like a club," with live bands on weekends. It also has 32-inch televisions to watch sporting events -- including horse races, for which it has OTB machines as well as Quick Draw. The bar also has a a massive jukebox and offers happy hour specials, including a free buffet. The bar is smoker-friendly, with a fenced-in patio with heaters in colder weather. This is one of four Napper Tandy's locations. The others are in Miller Place, Smithtown and Raleigh, North Carolina.
"Napper's," as it is called by locals, is named after a 19th century Irish artillery commander. It is also one of the main "barbershops" for the annual St. Baldrick's event in March, where many people line up to have their heads shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research.
