Mohawk Valley Community College is a part of the State University of New York. Operational for more than 40 years, the college has campuses in Utica and Rome, N.Y. The college enrolls more than 6,000 undergraduate and graduate students annually. It is approved by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, Technology Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, and Commission on the Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs. The college offers a wide variety of courses, such as accounting, advertising, athletic training and biology programs. It also offers preparation assistance for medical, dental, veterinary, podiatric school, and research and government careers. Additionally, it provides courses in biotechnology, broadcast communication, cardiovascular perfusion, computer information sciences and criminology. The university s specialization courses include cytotechnology, diagnostic medical ultrasound technology, sport management, early childhood and primary education, ecological studies and foreign language studies.
