Founded in 1862, Mercy Home is a long-term residential facility that provides supportive programs and services to persons with developmental disabilities. It is licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities. Its Medicaid service coordination program offers individualized service plans and assists in daily activities. The facility s respite services include transportation, music therapy sessions, trips and family education groups. Additionally, the facility offers recreational activities, such as arts and crafts, dances, parties and athletic events. Located in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mercy Home accept equipment and training materials, including computers, monitors, scanners, keyboards, digital cameras, video cameras and audiovisual equipment.
