M.E.C.A., the Merrick Estates Civic Association was established more than 40 years ago as a local community center for Merrick families. The center features a members-only pool and play areas which include a diving board, water slide, wading pool, sandbox, basketball courts and volleyball courts. M.E.C.A. also offers swim and fitness lessons. Additionally, the center can be rented for parties, graduations, communions, bar/bat mitzvahs and meetings.
