HistoryJohn C. Getchell, has owned and operated business machine stores, working in the retail office machine business for more than 35 years. His philosophy: 'treat every customer as family'. Getchell's Typewriters, located in the Arcade Building on Broadway, in Albany, N.Y. opened its doors in 1973, operating business until 1980. CRT Repair, on Madison Ave. in Albany, N.Y. operated successfully from 1981 until 1990. In 1991, A & G Computers was formed as a sole proprietorship, and incorporated under Getchell & Son in 2001.
