Long Island Spirits makes LiV (rhymes with five) vodka — the only vodka made on Long Island from potatoes grown on Long Island, processed in the only craft distillery on Long Island. The vodka is also one of the few in the country made Polish-style — exclusively from potatoes. The distillery, run out of a recently refurbished turn-of-the-century barn, is located in Baiting Hollow at the beginning of the North Fork's famed Wine Country. It takes about 15 pounds of potatoes to make one bottle of LiV, a creamy, distinctive vodka that can now be found throughout New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Washington, D.C., Massachusetts and Illinois.
