Gateway Consulting Group, Inc Gateway Group is a spin-off from a Document Management Research Group at the University of Waterloo, Canada. Since its launch in 1991 Gateway has focused soley on the design and implementation of Enterprise Content Management "ECM" and Product Lifecycle Management "PLM" solutions. Dr. Rainer Hoff, president of Gateway Consulting Group, began his career as a professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Waterloo. His research interests included mechanical design, pressure vessels and piping as well as the development of CAD to raster translation algorithims and the electronic distribuiton of drawing renditions. This early research in imaging technology led to Dr. Hoff founding Gateway Group, Inc in 1991. Dr. Hoff and his associates have pioneered many techniques in the field of information management that are considered routine today. AIIM, the ECM Association, awarded Dr. Hoff the Carl E. Nelson Engineering Award in recognition of these innovations. Seminars, Teaching, Videos: Dr. Hoff conducts both public and in-house seminars on Enterprise Content Management, Product Lifecycle Management, and Management of Change "MOC" Best Practices. Focus of Practice: Dr. Hoff's consulting activities include all aspects of information management, with a particular focus on complex or difficult problems.
