Specialties
We specialize in special education law and represent parents who suspect their children may have a disability as well as parents whose children have already been classified as entitled to special education and services and/or accommodations and modifications. We can assist parents in navigating the special education process, obtaining a free and appropriate public education (FAPE) for their child in the least restrictive environment, developing an appropriate Individual Education Plan (IEP), obtaining an Independent Education Evaluation (IEE) at the school district's expense, and facilitating placement in a special education Non-Public School (NPS). We can prepare parents for and represent them at CSE, CPSE, IEP and section 504 meetings; throughout Due Process proceedings; and at suspension hearings.
