Lauren Bishop, MD is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Dr. Bishop received her undergraduate degree from Fordham University before earning her medical degree at Ross University. She continued her medical training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Georgetown University and Medstar Washington Hospital Center, where she led medical student education in her chief year. During this time she was awarded the Georgetown University Hospital S.P.I.R.I.T award for demonstrating compassion and commitment to patient care. She then completed her fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Bishop is a board-certified Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and Society for Reproductive Investigation. She has published on diminished ovarian reserve and assisted reproductive technology in peer reviewed journals, and has presented her research at national and international conferences. Dr. Bishop is devoted to helping couples achieve their dreams of completing their family. She offers of full range of fertility treatments including ovulation induction, IVF, oocyte and sperm donation, and preimplantation genetic testing. She has a special interest in fertility preservation, and patients with diminished ovarian reserve, endometriosis, and ovulatory disorders. Dr. Bishop firmly believes in a patient centered model of care, and personalizes each treatment plan to her patients’ unique needs.
