Located inside the Veterans of Foreign Wars building on 1288 Boston Post Road, the Larchmont Mamaroneck Senior Center serves residents who are over 60 years old and live in Larchmont, Mamaroneck and the unincorporated area. Some non-residents are current members, but the center is no longer accepting non-resident applications. The center provides several recreational activities, including Italian conversation and Tai Chi classes, board games, film screenings, book discussions and day trips. The staff also accommodates daily door-to-door transportation, weekly grocery shopping trips and medical appointments, for a nominal contribution.
The Larchmont and Mamaroneck senior centers merged and moved to their present location in January 2009. The former centers were in the Town Center and in the Larchmont Public Library, respectively.
