LaGuardia Airport has been operated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey under a lease with the City of New York since 1947. The airport is spread over an area of more than 680 acres and features over 70 aircraft gates. Its facilities include metered and daily parking lots. The airport s airlines include American Airlines, United Airlines and US Airways. LaGuardia Airport provides a variety of food services. The airport offers transportation information, as well as tourism brochures and direct phone services to local hotels, such as LaGuardia Airport Hotel, Clarion Hotel and Courtyard LaGuardia. It also provides pickup and drop-off services. The airport has a staff of more than 8,000 people.
