Colin McDonald, DO, is a surgeon with Lourdes Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Riverside in Binghamton, NY. Dr. McDonald provides care and treatment for patients of all ages with orthopedic injuries. Dr. McDonald has a special interest in sports-related injuries in athletes of all ages, rotator cuff tears, osteoarthritis and fractures. He completed his fellowship training in sports medicine in Buffalo, NY where he helped to care for the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres. Dr. McDonald strives to treat every patient like a member of his own family, providing the best possible care at all times. He hopes to deliver to patients the ability to meet their own goals and perform at their highest personal level of function. Dr. McDonald decided to enter the orthopedic field after shadowing as an undergraduate student, and witnessing the impact that even a single surgical procedure can have on a patient's overall quality of life. He is originally from Waverly, NY and is excited to return to the Southern Tier. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, three children and family dog. He also enjoys watching, playing and coaching sports — including baseball, football and wrestling.
