Keuka Studios, Inc was founded by Dan and Jeanne White in 2002 as a fine architectural iron company. Our emphasis on excellent design and quality craftsmanship has earned us a reputation around the U.S. and Caribbean. Our primary business is creating unique and artistic railings including stainless steel cable railings, hand forged iron railings, fabricated aluminum railings and Architectural Signage. Projects are supported by our experience in art and technology. From low tech to high tech. From marker drawings to photo realistic computer renderings, from hand forged iron to laser cutting and CNC machining. Keuka Studios experience can help with your most challenging projects. About our process. Each project starts with hand drawn concept sketches followed by a 3D computer model which is often photo-realistically rendered and inserted into a photo of the customers site. This helps to meld the product image in both our minds and our customers, very important, we think. We then use a variety of metal working techniques to build your project. Anything from heating and forging to waterjet cutting and welding and machining. We intelligently select the process that best suits the project from old world hand forging to modern CNC machining. Finishes are typically powder coated. For a superior outdoor durability, we can optionally use a double powder coating process. The first step here is to sandblast the piece to white metal. This cleans the piece completely and provides a fine textured surface that the paint really adheres to. We then apply a Zinc rich epoxy powder coated primer, bake the piece then add a Polyester powdered top coat and re bake. Additionally a hot dipped galvanized/powder coat process can be used for superior long term protection, especially in coastal areas.
