History
After receiving her Master's Degree from New York University Stephanie completed specialized training using Psychodynamic, Family Systems, and CBT modalities at Montefiore Medical Center in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings. Following this training, she broadened her skills to include the treatment of Addiction and Trauma while employed at Montefiore. Stephanie went on to combine her experience in both mental health and addiction to work at the nationally recognized New York Presbyterian Hospital. It was at New York Presbyterian, that she took her practice deeper in regards to CBT and DBT, and further specialized in Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Trauma, and Personality Disorders. With her Stephanie extensive experience working with individuals, families, and groups in a variety of settings she chose to start her own practice.

It is my belief that accepting yourself as you are, in this moment, truly allows the process of change to begin. Recognizing and acknowledging that life has become unmanageable today is the first step in this process. I will help you identify your strengths while simultaneously working with you to improve upon your acknowledged weaknesses. This process will be collaborative as you are the the driver of both your life and your treatment. I offer you a non-judgmental, and supportive space that will facilitate you to uncover your true self by better understanding how both past and current circumstance are preventing you from living the life that you desire. As an integrative psychotherapist I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness approaches to guide our work together. In my practice, I work with a wide range of behavioral, emotional, and interpersonal difficulties that prevent my clients from leading a fulfilling and balanced lives. I work with adults ages 18-65: 1) Work through present difficulties and challenges. 2) Better understand behaviors that are getting in the way of living a more balanced life. 3) Develop adaptive coping strategies to better manage day-to-day stressors, distress, and emotional dysregulation.
