Dr. Raza is an Attending Interventional Cardiologist at Lenox Hill Heart and Vascular Institute in Manhattan and Jamaica Hospital in Queens. He graduated as the class valedictorian in his pre-medical education and then joined the prestigious University of Madras in Chennai, India for his medical education. After his medical school, he worked as medical officer at the world-renowned Apollo Hospitals in Chennai where he was selected as the best resident of the year. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at United Health Services Hospitals and his Geriatrics and general Cardiology Fellowship at East Carolina University. He completed his Interventional Cardiology and Peripheral Intervention training at Lenox Hill Hospital.Dr Raza's interests include complex coronary interventions, radial access for interventions, peripheral interventional procedures, nuclear cardiology, and echocardiography. In addition, he has a special interest in coronary artery disease and valvular heart disease management. Dr. Raza also has published numerous articles in well-known peer-reviewed medical journals and is active in teaching residents and fellows. Dr. Raza has distinguished himself as an exceptional clinician and interventional cardiologist, performing a high volume of complex procedures. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology and the Society of Coronary Angiography and Intervention.
