Robert Giulio Trasolini, DO
Dr. Trasolini is an Orthopaedic Surgeon and Sports Medicine Specialist with a clinical focus on arthroscopic treatment of the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and ankle. Dr. Trasolini specializes in complex ligament reconstruction of the knee, including but not limited to, anterior cruciate reconstruction, posterior cruciate reconstruction and collateral ligament reconstruction. Dr. Trasolini also has a special interest in the shoulder, including arthroscopic surgery, open procedures and shoulder replacement. Dr. Trasolini graduated from Colgate University, where he was a four-year starter on the men s lacrosse team, earning All Patriot-league and All-America honors After college, he had the opportunity to play lacrosse professionally and spent three years playing Major League Lacrosse for the Chicago Machine, Rochester Rattlers, and the NY Lizards. Dr. Trasolini attended Touro College of Osteopathic medicine, where he ranked in the top 10% of his class and was inducted into the Sigma Phi Honors Medical Society. He then completed his residency in the Northwell Health system at Plainview Hospital, where he was recognized for his leadership and clinical teaching, as evident by his receipt of the Resident of the Year Award in 2017. Dr. Trasolini then had the opportunity to train in Boston as a Sports and Shoulder Fellow at New England Baptist Hospital. During his fellowship he served as the assistant team physician for Harvard Athletics, the Boston Celtics, the Boston Cannons, Merrimack College, Tufts Athletics and numerous high schools in the surrounding area. He also spent time at Boston Children s Hospital, learning pediatric sports medicine from renowned experts, Dr. Min Kocher and Dr. Lyle Micheli. Dr. Trasolini is looking forward to serving the local communities of Suffolk County and believes that his lifelong dedication to sports and personal experience as an athlete provides him with unique insight to meet the needs of his patients.
