Established in 1968, The Jewish Association for Services for the Aged and its affiliates constitute one of the largest community-based, voluntary social service agencies that serve the aged in the United States. The association provides services to more than 55,000 seniors in New York City. The Jewish Association for Services for the Aged offers meals and nutrition, housing, legal and financial advice, advocacy, and support and assistance services. It supports and conducts various enrichment and educational programs through the Institute of Judaic Studies, Sunday at JASA and more than 25 senior centers. The association is a member of the UJA-Federation of New York, as well as a beneficiary of the United Way of New York City, United Way Public Sector Campaign and the NYC Combined Federal Campaign for United Way. The Jewish Association for Services for the Aged maintains a location in Far Rockaway, N.Y.
