Irving Tissue is a family run, privately owned company committed to North America and the environment. The company is a part of Irving Forest Products, a company that employs more than 8,400 people in North America. Since 1957, it has planted over 650 million trees. Irving Tissue began in 1988 and since then has grown to become one of North America's leading tissue manufacturers. Irving Tissue began with the purchase of a paper mill in Saint John, New Brunswick that produced jumbo rolls of tissue that are converted into consumer products. In 1996, Irving Tissue grew and acquired a paper mill and tissue converting facility in Fort Edward, N.Y., which is where the company maintains its operations. Irving also acquired the right to market Scotties Facial Tissue and SoftWeve Bathroom Tissue in the U.S. in 1996.
