Established in 1977, Unity House of Cayuga County is a nonprofit organization that provides health care services for individuals of all ages with developmental disabilities and mental illnesses. It offers psychiatric assessment, case management, medication assistance, crisis intervention, skill development, employment training, and assisted and independent living services. The organization additionally provides education, financial support, family counseling, consulting, rehabilitative and monitoring solutions. It has a staff of more than 300 skilled and certified nurses, physicians and psychiatrists. The organization is licensed by the NY State Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities and NY State Office of Mental Health. It is affiliated with the Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce, Wayne County Department of Social Services and Association of Addiction Recovery Care Homes. Unity House of Cayuga County maintains one of its locations in Ithaca, N.Y.
