Founded in 1986, Homes for the Homeless, also known as HFH, is one of the leading centers that provides residential, educational and employment training services in the United States. The center serves more than 500 homeless families and over 1,000 children each day. It operates Institute for Children & Poverty, also known as ICP, which is an independent nonprofit research and development organization that focuses on action-oriented research designed to study the complex issues of family and provides data and ideas that inform and enhance public policy on serving homeless families.
