Homer Moutran, MD MBA FACS, is the Associate Director of the Department of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at Staten Island University Hospital. He treats conditions of the ear, nose and throat in adults and children. His expertise includes nasal and breathing improvement surgeries, sinus disease management, in addition to managing disorders of breathing, swallowing, voice,hearing, sense of smell...After earning his medical degree, Dr Moutran specialized in Otolaryngology-Head and neck surgery, then went for a subspecialty training in skull base surgery at Roosevelt Hospital and cranio-facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at Lenox Hill hospital. He is American board certified in Otolaryngology-Head and neck surgery.In addition to his clinical activities, Dr Moutran is assistant professor of Otolaryngology at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. He is also consultant to the Board of Governors of the American academy of Otolaryngology Head and neck surgery, and sits on the medical advisory board for multiple charity foundations that take care of children born with facial deformities.
