The Harrison EMS celebrated 25 years of serving Harrison in December 2009.
The group has 56 staff members and a few volunteers answering more than 3,000 calls for service a year. They have two Advanced Life Support ambulances that run 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
In addition to providing emergency medical services to Harrison, they also offer American heart classes, community lectures, safety tips, blood pressure screenings, ambulance ridealongs and more.
