Founded in 1986, Harlem Congregations for Community Improvement is a coalition of more than 90 interfaith congregations. The organization offers programs to provide affordable housing and safe streets, as well as opportunities for individuals and groups to become economically independent. It also provides educational programs for adults and youths. Harlem Congregations for Community Improvement is a member of All Soul s Episcopal Church, Abundant Life Tabernacle and Bank of America. In addition, the organization helps in the reduction of crime in the community. Its real estate office has developed more than 2,000 units of moderate, low- and middle-income housing. The organization promotes economic development through job trainings, employment opportunities and referral services. Harlem Congregations for Community Improvement is located in New York City.
