History
Gus's Restaurant & Tavern started when Gus a baker by trade and his wife Anna came to America from Southern Germany to open a restaurant! We still serve Gus' original rye bread and all of Anna's German recipes. Gus and Anna ran their business until their son Richard took over in the later 1950's. Richard ran the business until his son Richard took over in the late 1970's. Gus' is now a 4th generation family owned and operated business since the addition of Gus' great grandaughter joined her dad at the restaurant. We have our annual Oktoberfest the weekend after Labor Day where you can enjoy great German Music from a live band, entertaining German dancers and great German food! We keep the beer flowing and the Brats grilling all weekend long!
