Founded in 1950, the Junior League of Westchester on the Sound (JLWOS) is a women's non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of volunteerism, the development of women's potential, and the improvement of the Sound Shore communities through education. JLWOS has members in Harrison, Larchmont, Mamaroneck, New Rochelle, Port Chester, Rye and Rye Brook; and it reaches out to women of all races, religions and nationalities, who live in the Sound Shore area, are over 21 years old, and demonstrate and interest in volunteering.
